It's a miracle!!!!

look no hands

Porter fianlly held his baby sister after two weeks of bribing and coaxing. He even seemed to like it. I think he was just scared of hurting her. We are proud of you Porter!

Home Sweet Home

Lily loves her new sister she couldn't wait to hold her. Porter isn't so sure . . .

He'd rather hold this giant onion from Grandpa's garden. County fair here we come !

Giant onion or tiny baby? You be the judge.

After spending less than 24 hours at the hospital we are happy to be home with our baby Jane. She is so sweet and will be loved by many. Her bigger sister warmed right up to her, but Porter was a little shy. He was more interested in giving his mom lots of hugs and kisses and showing off his prized onion. I'll be posting lots of pictures for family who are not with us at this time. Thanks for all your love and support.

Baby Jane is here !!

Welcome to the world Baby Jane.
Jane Madison Flake AKA Unlucky was born on Friday the 13th, July 2007 at 9:30pm She weighed in at a respectable 7lbs 14 oz and taped out at 19 in. Brooke was scheduled to be induced on Sunday morning, but little Jane couldn't wait that long. I can already tell she is a religious child, not wanting her mother to perform any labor on the Sabbath. True to form Brooke made quick work of the delivery. She was admitted to the hospital at 5:30 and 4 hrs later little Jane was in her arms, the Doctor didn't even make it for the delivery. I got the call around 4:00 that she was going into labor and I was in LA, so I half expected the baby to be born by the time I got there. Luckily Dori was able to take her to the hospital and get her all checked in while Chuck watched the kids.

Poor Brooke had a lot of pain with this delivery. The epidural was not working properly, so Brooke got a little taste of what she put her mom through :). We are just thrilled to have her here at last and in my humble and completely unbiased opinion she is about the cutest baby ever. She is definitely cuter than our other two were (don't worry they can't read yet so they won't know I said that)

The final moments

The look on Brooke's face says it all.

The kids came by for a quick visit.

Who does she look like you ask? I'll let you judge for yourself.

Changes

Matt has been in training for running a skilled nursing home center all year and finally got his facility a month ago. He has been really busy, and it dosen't help that it takes 1 1/2- 2 hours to get there and the same returning home. So we have put our house up for sale to be closer to work and actually get to see our dad. Not the best time to sale, but we don't have much of a choice. Can't wait for this chapter to be over with. We are excited to see what we'll be doing next. Matt comes home every night with a new place where we could live.

On Sunday I"m being induced with our third child. I'm a little nervous because I have never been induced before, but excited because I get to have the baby 10 days early. I won't complain about that. Since the family is growing we purchased our first brand new car. I'm officially driving a mom van, but I couldn't be more excited. We got a Toyota Sienna and I love it. There is so much room and it drives so nice. We'll keep you updated with the birth of our new baby girl.
