Like father like son
My sister tagged me
I was tagged by my sister Erin. It was pretty easy so I did it.
Here are the rules:
1. go to your my document/my pictures
2. go to your sixth file
3. go to your sixth picture
4. blog about it
5. tag six people

Here is a picture of Porter. He was about 10 months. It was Christmas time and we spent it with my family in a great cabin in Colorado. We made ginger bread houses and Porter enjoyed digging into his. He was awful on this trip. He never slept and cried all night. He was so chubby. On this same trip Matt took Porter while we went to the movies and Porter ate two cheese burgers from McDonald's. Gross!
I tag Kristyn Berrett, Kristina Kendig, Katie Rainer, Ruth Shultz, Rachel Cunningham, Nancy King. Good Luck!!!

Better late than never
I finally got around to blogging and had to add some Christmas activities. We had a great holiday and loved being with family. I am so thankful to have so many family members so close. We are so excited for my sister Amy and her family to be moving here this weekend. Now I just need Erin and Dustin. Life is good.

Our house now
The kitchen- We still need a back splash.

I need to paint my bar stools, table, and chairs and get a new light fixture.

The Family room

Porter's room, the girls room, and our room. I have not done any decorating.
After a lot of hard work we are feeling at home in our new house. Thank you to all those who helped us. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. We pulled many late nights working while the kiddies were sleeping. We still have a lot more to do, but my mom is dying for updates.

THE FLAKES ARE MOVING

entering the kitchen

We got adventurous and purchased a foreclosed house. It was a cute ranch style house in a great tree lined street. There is a lot of work to be done, but when it is done it will be a perfect for our family. Things finally closed and we got the house a week ago. We haven't stopped since. We are putting in new flooring, ripping down wall paper, spraying kitchen cabinets, painting every paintable surface, and on and on and on. We have had a lot of helpers and it is looking great. It is amazing what paint can do. I'll post some pictures as we go. We can't wait to move in.
